Survey

Surveyor’s Summary:

The subject vessel, Wild Spirit, is a custom-built auxiliary sailing sloop, from a proven design by innovative and notable naval architect Thomas Wylie, and of tested construction by C & B Marine of Santa Cruz. This is a one-off cold-molded vessel, constructed on a male mold, with multiple layers of alternating horizontal spruce and diagonal red cedar planking, bonded with epoxies, with an outer fiberglass cloth sheathing, to create a light and very strong composite hull. The custom construction techniques are well above average, and the vessel shows little evidence or deterioration from her extensive offshore miles. She is a proven passagemaker, with many blue water miles crossing the Pacific to Japan, and venturing into South Pacific waters.

Conclusion:

Based on our research and the examination of this vessel, a reasonable market value of the vessel in its current condition would be approximately: $90,000.00

Estimated reconstruction value (Amount given represents purchasing a similar new one in 2018. The vessel is no longer in production): $500,000.00
